Company Matters understands that privacy is important to you.

Company Matters is subject to the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cwlth) (Privacy Act) including the National Privacy Principles, which govern, among other things, how we mange your personal information. In addition, as legal professionals, our duty of confidentiality to our clients is of paramount importance.

We do not disclose confidential information about our clients except as required to provide our services, with our client’s consent or as required or permitted by law. This applies to all confidential information, whether it is covered by the National Privacy Principles (such as personal information) or not (including, not limited to, business and corporate information).

In addition, even if information is not “confidential information about a client”, if it is personal information about you, we will use it only for strictly limited purposes. These include:

From time to time we do collect information about you such as your name, contact details, occupation, title and information concerning the matters on which you seek our advice or services. We may collect this information when you give it to us directly or when you use our services. We may also collect some of this information incidentally from other persons (such as your employer) when they use our services.

We may use your contact details to send you information about us, including about our services. If at any time you do not wish us to send you information about our services, please tell us and we will cease to do so.

We will take all necessary steps to ensure that all information we collect or use is accurate, complete, up-to-date, protected from misuse and accessed only by authorised personnel for permitted purposes as described above.
